"Outlanders," a poem by Dheepa R. Maturi
"Outlanders" is a poem about the search for belonging, especially when we find ourselves between cultures, countries, identities, even moments in time. Our "betweenness" can be a place of mourning . . . and it can also be a generative space, a hopeful homeland we can create with others. "Outlanders" was first published in The Fourth River literary journal. (Video credit: Ryan @Wonderfxl)
